Witnesses say driver hit bus stop, carjacked and ditched minivan, escaped in Chicago's western suburbs

North Riverside police conducted a traffic stop related to an incident at a mall. The driver fled, crashed into a bus stop injuring a pedestrian, carjacked a minivan, and then abandoned it. Police are pursuing leads with no ongoing threat to the community.
