Waymo has expanded its robotaxi service in Los Angeles to anyone with its app, covering an 80-square-mile area. The company has seen success in Phoenix and recently secured a $5.6 billion investment despite financial losses. Competitors like Tesla are aiming to enter the autonomous driving market.
