Vote sets stage for new Amtrak Gulf Coast service. But can trains roll by Super Bowl?

Mobile City Council in Alabama voted to fund Amtrak passenger train service from New Orleans to Mobile, with expected start in spring 2025. Plans for two daily trains in each direction with stops in Mississippi cities. Uncertain if service will start before the Super Bowl.
