The UK reaffirms its commitment to its overseas territories, rejecting any negotiations on sovereignty, amid Argentina's vow to gain control of the Falkland Islands. The UK secured a deal with Mauritius regarding the Chagos Islands to ensure the future of a US-UK military base on Diego Garcia.
