President-elect Trump has chosen Rep. Mike Waltz as his national security adviser, a Green Beret combat vet with close ties to Trump's team. Waltz will oversee a global U.S. posture shift. He spoke at the Republican National Convention, praising Trump's leadership and criticizing Biden's policies.
