Cubist Systematic Strategies is investing heavily in a centralized trading operation. Lead of high-frequency trading, Vibhav Bukkapatanam, is leaving after less than a year. The firm is expanding its internal trading unit, attracting talent from top firms, creating tension with individual teams.
