Storm tracker: Tropical depression likely to develop off Florida coast this weekend, NHC says

A tropical wave near Cuba is expected to develop into a tropical depression over the Straits of Florida or eastern Gulf of Mexico this weekend. Heavy rains may lead to flash flooding in Florida, Cuba, and the Bahamas. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to Nov.
