State police agrees to pay $2.72m to disqualified troopers in discrimination settlement

Maryland State Police will pay $2.72 million to 48 candidates who were discriminated against in the hiring process. The USDJ found discriminatory practices against Black and female trooper candidates, leading to changes in assessment protocols.
