SEC fines four companies $7 million for 'misleading cyber disclosures' regarding SolarWinds hack

The SEC charged and fined four companies for misleading disclosures related to the 2019 SolarWinds breach. Check Point, Mimecast, Unisys, and Avaya were penalized for downplaying breach impacts. The companies cooperated with the SEC investigation and agreed to pay fines without admitting guilt.
