Richardson city servers targeted in hack, sensitive data believed safe

A hacker breached the City of Richardson's servers in North Texas, attempting to encrypt data files. The city shut down access and assured no sensitive data was accessed. Officials are working to restore systems, with essential services still available. The FBI and DHS are investigating.
