Republican lawmakers are set to elect a new North Carolina House speaker, Destin Hall

North Carolina House Republicans have chosen Rep. Destin Hall as the successor to Rep. Tim Moore as speaker. Hall was selected by House Republicans who hold majority control of the chamber. The decision marks the end of Moore's 10-year tenure as speaker.
