Rays' Wander Franco, who awaits sex abuse trial, arrested in parking lot altercation involving guns

Wander Franco, Tampa Bay Rays shortstop, was arrested after an armed altercation in the Dominican Republic. He is also facing charges in a sexual abuse case involving a minor. Franco's career has been on hold since August 2023, despite signing a lucrative contract in 2021.
