O'Malley resigns from Social Security Administration to run for DNC chair

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley is stepping down as Social Security Administration commissioner to run for chair of the Democratic National Committee. O'Malley, a former Baltimore mayor, has received support for his party vision. He is the first candidate to announce his candidacy.
