Newsom says no to beeping speed warnings in all new cars

Governor Gavin Newsom vetoed SB 961 proposed by State Sen. Scott Wiener, which aimed to mandate visual and audio warning signals for speeding in new vehicles by 2030. Newsom cited federal regulations and potential disruption to existing safety efforts.
