Ministers back voluntary levy on arena gig tickets to support grassroots venues

The UK Government plans to introduce a voluntary levy on large concert tickets to support grassroots music venues by 2025. The measure aims to alleviate financial struggles faced by smaller venues post-pandemic and inflation, with some bands already donating proceeds to aid the sector.
