Greg Reed will step down as Alabama Senate leader and join Gov. Ivey's administration

Alabama Senate President Pro Tempore Greg Reed is leaving to join Gov. Kay Ivey's administration as a senior adviser. He will lead the overhaul of the Department of Labor, to be restructured and renamed as the Department of Workforce, launching next summer.
