Gov. Newsom launches "surge operation" in response to violent crime in San Bernardino County

Governor Newsom launched a "surge operation" in San Bernardino to combat rising violent crime rates. Additional CHP officers will assist local law enforcement in tackling gun violence, property theft, and street gangs. Similar successful operations have been conducted in other California cities.
