GOP tightens its strong grip on the West Virginia Legislature, where women also lost seats

Republicans have strengthened their majority in the West Virginia Legislature, securing a large supermajority. Democrats will hold just two out of 34 state Senate seats and at least eight out of 100 House seats. The GOP now controls all statewide offices for the first time in nearly a century.
