Giants surprisingly release Nick McCloud after pay cut push

The Giants released cornerback Nick McCloud, thinning their depth chart. McCloud started 5 games this season and contributed on special teams. The team asked him for a pay cut, but he was released. The Giants have been struggling at cornerback since missing out on targeted draft picks.
