Gallego defeats Lake in state Trump won

Ruben Gallego, a Democrat, made history by becoming Arizona's first Latino U.S. senator, defeating Republican Kari Lake and halting the GOP's efforts to expand their Senate majority. Arizona has seen a shift towards Democrats since Trump's presidency in 2016.
