First U.S. case of severe monkeypox strain reported in San Mateo County

A more severe strain of monkeypox was reported in San Mateo County, the first case in the U.S. The infected person had recently traveled from Africa. The individual is receiving treatment and isolating at home. The risk to the public is considered low.
