'Everything on sale': American Freight closing all stores amid parent company's bankruptcy

Stop & Shop plans to close grocery stores in the Northeast, while American Freight is shutting down all 328 locations as part of Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Franchise Group Inc. cited economic challenges for the closures, with going-out-of-business sales already underway. Insiders received bonuses ahead of bankruptcy filing.
