EU climate chief holds firm on CO2 deadlines for cars

The EU plans to ban sales of new CO2-emitting cars by 2035 and tighten CO2 limits for carmakers next year, despite pressure from some governments and car manufacturers. Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra emphasized the importance of predictable investment in the auto sector to meet climate targets.
