Eric Adams picks Jessica Tisch as NYPD commissioner

Jessica Tisch, the city's Sanitation Commissioner, has been chosen by Mayor Eric Adams to lead the NYPD. She will be the second woman ever to serve as NYPD commissioner. Tisch has a background in civilian roles at the NYPD, including deputy commissioner of information technology.
