DIRECTV is set to acquire EchoStar's DISH DBS Corporation for $1.00, aiming to enhance competition with streaming platforms. The deal will enable DIRECTV to offer smaller content packages at lower prices, while allowing EchoStar to focus on its 5G network deployment.
