East Bay tech startup uses AI to keep tabs on the grid to prevent wildfires

Gridware, founded by Tim Barat and Hall Chen, developed solar-powered sensors to detect vibrations in utility lines to prevent wildfires. Their technology also helps restore power faster after outages and monitors environmental factors. They have installed 13,000 sensors in high-risk areas across the country.
