Drug "several times" stronger than fentanyl linked to California overdose death

The U.S. Department of Justice in Los Angeles filed charges in the first death-related criminal case involving the synthetic opioid protonitazene. 21-year-old Benjamin Collins faces a minimum 20-year sentence for distributing the drug that is three times more potent than fentanyl.
