Connecticut aquarium pays over $12K to settle beluga care investigation

Mystic Aquarium in Connecticut settled a federal investigation by paying a $12,200 fine for alleged animal care violations related to the death of three beluga whales. The deaths were due to pre-existing health issues, not the cited violations.
