James Charles Smith, known as JC Smith, passed away after eating a McDonald's Quarter Pounder during an E. coli outbreak. The CDC traced the source to onions from Taylor Farms in Colorado. The family has expressed anger and concern, with lawsuits filed. McDonald's took measures to address the issue.
