Former Miami City Commissioner Alex Diaz de la Portilla and lawyer William W. Riley Jr. had criminal charges dropped by Broward State Attorney's Office due to lack of evidence in a campaign money laundering and bribery scheme. The case failed to meet legal standards for prosecution.
