Capital One soars on positive earnings while CPRI plummets in after-hours trading and IBM sees worst day in 6 months

Tesla's surge lifted Nasdaq, while IBM's drop led Dow lower. S&P 500 gained. Post-market, Honeywell, Capital One, and others reported earnings. In Europe, markets saw modest gains amidst U.S. economic data.
