Canada's TMC to apply for deep sea mining licence this year, chief exec says

Canada's The Metals Company plans to apply for a license to extract minerals from the ocean floor soon. The company's CEO aims to complete the application process after the United Nations' International Seabed Authority (ISA) meeting in Jamaica, where regulations for deep-sea mining are being discussed.
