Award-winning Cambodian journalist Mech Dara, known for his human trafficking and cyber scam industry reporting, was arrested by authorities. His work has shed light on exploitation in scam compounds, leading to his arrest after sharing controversial images on social media. His independent news outlet was shut down by authorities last year.
