Americans now need to earn $108,000/year to afford a new single-family home, property taxes, insurance  --  how to step on the US housing ladder even without a 6-figure salary

A new study by Oxford Economics reveals a significant drop in housing affordability in the US over the past five years. The average income needed to afford a single-family home is $107,700, while the real median household income is $80,610.
