AMD is laying off 4% of its workforce to focus on growth opportunities. The reduction could affect around 1,000 employees. Despite challenges in AI chip sales, AMD aims to enhance competitiveness with future chip offerings. CEO Lisa Su remains optimistic about the company's future prospects.
