Visa Teams Up with BBVA To Issue Fiat-Backed Tokens On Blockchain Networks, Plans Initial Pilot By 2025

Visa introduces Visa Tokenized Asset Platform (VTAP) to facilitate financial institutions in issuing fiat-backed tokens on blockchain networks. BBVA is testing VTAP functionalities and plans to pilot on Ethereum in 2025. This collaboration aims to broaden banking services through blockchain technology integration.
