University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign chancellor to step down at end of academic year

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign Chancellor Robert Jones plans to step down at the end of the academic year. Jones, the first Black chancellor, led the university through the COVID-19 pandemic and saw a significant increase in enrollment. He will continue in some capacity within the U of I system.
