UK seeks to improve seafarer employment rights with new law

The UK government has introduced an Employment Rights Bill to provide stronger wage and collective dismissal protections for seafarers, aiming to end 'fire and rehire' practices and enhance redundancy laws. The legislation will also enforce the Seafarer's Wages Act to ensure fair pay.
