The Witch Hunt Strikes Back: Trump Turns His Broom on Microsoft and Lisa Monaco

“Satya, listen… she’s terrible, the worst hire you’ve ever made. Get rid of her. Nasty, nasty woman.”

Remember when Donnie Politics said, “I don’t get angry, I get even”? Well, apparently he’s doing both. His latest rampage has a new target… and no, it’s not windmills this time (though we still don’t know what the heck they did to him). This round he’s aiming at Bill Gates’ pride and joy, demanding Microsoft toss Lisa Monaco.

Who’s Monaco? Glad you asked. She’s Microsoft’s new President of Global Affairs and, oh yeah, Biden’s former Deputy Attorney General. Also the same woman who helped oversee Trump’s greatest legal hits… classified docs, election interference, you name it. As you’d expect… she lives rent-free in his brain (and for good reason).

Needless to say, Monaco isn’t a random executive in a pant suit. She was Merrick Garland’s right hand during Trump’s legal colonoscopy… the one with classified docs involved, election meddling, the whole ugly exam. Now she’s parked in a cushy C-suite at Microsoft, with keys to a company that sucks in billions from Uncle Sam. Translation: she went from giving Trump sweaty nightmares to potentially controlling his cloud storage.

Trump, being Trump, went full caps-lock warrior on Truth Social, calling her a “menace to U.S. national security.” He all but told Satya Nadella to grab a pink slip and yeet her out the front door. Microsoft’s response? A polite middle finger via “no comment,” because the last thing Nadella wants is to be drafted into Trump’s petty revenge tour.

This isn’t new. If you dig back in your memory… Trump already yanked Monaco’s security clearance back in March, lumping her in with Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and pretty much anyone who’s ever waged political war against him.

And just yesterday, Trump got his wish when James Comey (the FBI director who launched the Russia probe) was indicted. Trump celebrated like it was New Year’s Eve, then hinted more names could be next. (“It’s not a list, but there will be others,” he told reporters, which is the kind of thing you say right before pulling a list out of your pocket.)

Microsoft runs deep with Uncle Sam… cloud contracts, AI projects, defense tech, the whole nine yards. If Trump actually forces Monaco out, it’d set a wild precedent: presidents deciding who corporations can and can’t hire based purely on political beef. Then again, in Trump’s mind, this is payback… his enemies iced him out for years (and even tried to send him to prison), so now it’s “f*** around and find out” season.

And if Microsoft plays deaf, Trump can just aim his megaphone at Nadella & Co…. and let’s be real, the guy has a history of shaking markets with a single post (just ask Cracker Barrel or Intel).
