Tessmann joins Lyon from Venezia to become French team's first American player

Tanner Tessmann, U.S. midfielder, signed a five-year contract with Lyon, transferring from Venezia. Lyon paid $6.7 million for the 22-year-old, making him the team's first American player. Tessmann previously helped Venezia win promotion to Serie A.
