North Carolina voters elected Josh Stein as governor over Mark Robinson. Stein received 51.7% of the vote, succeeding Roy Cooper. Despite this Democratic victory, Trump is expected to win North Carolina's 16 electoral votes. Robinson faced scandal over racist and sexual remarks online, damaging his campaign.
