RTX (NYSE: RTX) announced that its Raytheon businesses have secured more than $1 billion in combined U.S. defense contract awards and modifications, spanning air and missile defense, radar systems, naval weapons, and integrated battlefield capabilities.
The largest award was granted to Raytheon Missiles & Defense in Andover, Massachusetts, which received an $841.7 million fixed-price-incentive contract modification for the production of fire units, including new hardware, software, and related services. The award supports Foreign Military Sales for Spain and increases the total contract value to approximately $1.72 billion, with work scheduled for completion by June 30, 2031.
Raytheon’s McKinney, Texas operation received an $85.8 million contract modification to procure APY-10 radar systems for the P-8A Multi-Mission Maritime Aircraft. The order includes shipsets for the U.S. Navy, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom, with performance expected through December 2030.In Fullerton, California, Raytheon was awarded a $77.7 million modification to provide life-cycle contractor support for the Sentinel A3 radar, with work expected to conclude by December 31, 2026.
Raytheon’s Tucson, Arizona division secured two contracts totaling more than $51 million related to the Close-In Weapon System used on U.S. Navy surface ships. These include:
- $34.7 million for manufacturing new CIWS parts
- $16.6 million for overhaul and repair services
Work will be performed primarily in Louisville, Kentucky (70%), and Andover, Massachusetts (30%), with completion expected by December 2028.Raytheon’s Florida operations were awarded a $22.0 million contract modification for the design, development, integration, testing, and maintenance of the Cooperative Engagement Capability weapon system. The work will be conducted mainly in Saint Petersburg and Largo, Florida, with limited activity in Maynard, Massachusetts, and is scheduled to run through November 2026.
Separately, RTX confirmed additional international defense activity supporting allied nations, including Patriot air and missile defense systems for Spain and Romania, reinforcing Raytheon’s role in multinational air defense modernization efforts.Collectively, the awards highlight RTX’s continued execution across missile defense, radar modernization, naval combat systems, and integrated command-and-control capabilities, while supporting both U.S. military requirements and allied defense initiatives through Foreign Military Sales.
