Nvidia Shares EXPLODE As Jensen Huang Looks to Get His "Dick Cheney" on with Saudi Arabia...

Everyone: The only thing Saudi Arabia has going for it is their oil…

US Government: Hold my beer…

In case you were wondering why Nvidia investors lost their collective minds in a massive buying frenzy yesterday, it all comes down to the fact that Jensen Huang is looking to get his Dick Cheney on in the Middle East.

In short, our favorite Wall Street Bets blue chip stock, Nvidia, absolutely ripped bearish faces off yesterday as it soared +8.15% on the day due to the fact that the U.S. Government is one “happy ending” away from greenlighting chip experts to the Saudi’s.

According to “people familiar with the matter”, the Biden administration is seriously considering letting Nvidia ship its AI chips—you know, the same cutting-edge H100 chips that make ChatGPT look like a toddler learning to walk—to Saudi Arabia. As we all know, this is a country that’s legit sitting on a mountain of oil money, but now it turns out they’re looking to throw in their chips (pun intended) to become the next AI capital of the world.

Meaning, this could be bigly for Nvidia when it comes to future sales as the company is already riding the AI hype train like it’s the only stock left on the market.

However, here’s where it gets interesting: just last year, the U.S. government was playing the main character in an episode of “Hoarders” when it came to chip exports. Think, restrictions on China and Russia. Which is definitely understandable. I’m sure you would agree that no American wants to wake up and find out their AI chips are powering our most powerful enemies’ military drones. Spoiler Alert: Google and Microsoft already pulled a fast one on that btw.

But when it comes to Saudi Arabia? Well as of now they’re still playing nice - or atleast, that’s what they want us to think. Hell, even if they weren’t… They have oil. Soooo what could we really do if they weren’t being cooperative in the sandbox?

Regardless though, if the U.S. decides to give the greenlight on this deal, it will definitely be a win-win (especially for investors).  Saudi gets the AI firepower they need to build up their tech game, and Nvidia gets to laugh all the way to the bank. Especially considering these H100 chips aren't just any old processors; they’re the crown jewels of AI infrastructure, the silicon that fuels everything from generative language models to computer vision. Basically, if you want to do anything cool with AI, you need Nvidia’s chips.

On the other hand though, even while it looks like the Saudis are aligning themselves more with America’s AI ambitions rather than hopping into bed with China - (again, at least for now)... not everyone is thrilled.

For instance, some folks in Washington are sweating bullets over the idea of handing over this kind of tech to a country that’s already been cozying up to China on projects like the Neom megacity. The fear? If the U.S. holds back on the chip exports, Saudi might just slide into China’s DMs. And let’s be real, China would be more than happy to sell them the tech—no questions asked.

Meanwhile, Nvidia and it’s investors are sitting back, probably polishing up their shrines of massive winnings, because if this deal gets the green light… it’s game on baby. The company’s already forecast that its data-center chip sales are going to be its biggest moneymaker, and Saudi Arabia is practically begging to be their next VIP customer.

Now of course, with all of that said, nothing is official yet. The deal still has to go through the bureaucratic blender that is the U.S. government’s interagency review process (as national security hawks pick this thing apart to make sure we aren’t unknowingly writing a death wish)

Naturally, the U.S. Commerce Department is keeping its lips sealed for now, and Nvidia isn’t saying much either. But here’s the takeaway: If this deal goes through, Wall Street Bets will resurge as the leader of degeneracy as their Nvidia call options will most likely explode, while Saudi Arabia’s AI dreams might just become a reality.
