Navy shipbuilder Austal USA agrees to pay $24 million to settle accounting fraud probe

Austal USA, a shipbuilder in Alabama, agreed to pay a $24 million fine to settle an accounting fraud case with the U.S. Department of Justice. They admitted to misleading shareholders from 2013 to 2016, pleading guilty to securities fraud and obstruction of a federal audit.
