NASA scrapped its $11 billion scheme to grab Mars rocks that may point to alien life. Now it has a faster, cheaper plan.

NASA's Perseverance rover is collecting rocks on Mars that may reveal signs of ancient alien life. A new plan aims to bring back these samples by 2035 for $5.8 billion. The mission requires cooperation from the new administration and funding starting in fiscal year '25.
