Man Sprung from Jail Killed His Ex-Girlfriend Days Later, Then Wrote Note Saying, 'It Is What It Is'

Minnesota man Matthew Brenneman pleaded guilty to murdering his girlfriend, Danicka Bergeson, shortly after being released from jail for assaulting her. Bergeson was found buried in blankets in a Hopkins home in July 2023. Brenneman admitted to the crime and awaits sentencing in August.
