Lockheed Martin: “Hold my missile”
As the world stopped in awe while the Air Force turned to Boeing to build their new world-class Trump infused fighter jet, Lockheed has now officially thrown its revenge punch—courtesy, of the United States Army.

In short, the boots on the ground just handed Lockheed a $4.94 billion contract to crank out the next-gen Precision Strike Missile (PrSM). Translation: Uncle Sam is betting big that Lockheed’s new big swingin’ warheads will help outgun China, outmaneuver Russia, and outlast whatever hellscape the next decade decides to throw at us.
Now in case you missed it, this ain’t our grandaddy’s artillery anymore. The PrSM is designed to replace the Cold War-era ATACMS, which, while nostalgic, is basically the military equivalent of using dial-up in a fiber-optic world. With a range of “definitely-not-public” but reportedly over 300 miles, the PrSM will let the Army lob high-precision hellfire from way downtown. Think Steph Curry meets Michael Bay CGI effects.

What’s more, is that this is just Increment One. Later versions are expected to go full-send—hitting moving ships, dodging jamming tech, and possibly syncing with other domains like air, sea, cyber, and space. Fancy. Additionally, the deal is a firm-fixed-price-contract, which means Lockheed eats any cost overruns. That’s great news for taxpayers and a subtle boast from Lockheed, basically saying, “We’re so confident, we’ll bet the house on it.”
Also, this wasn’t exactly a bidding war—only one offer came in. Which either means Lockheed’s tech is that far ahead… or everyone else just said “nah” to building bleeding-edge missiles in a time of global chaos. Either way, Lockheed wins. Again. And in a crucial time too. For instance, the U.S. is currently watching Russia blast its Iskander-M missiles in Ukraine and China parade around its DF-26 “carrier killer” with a 2,500-mile reach like it’s a damn trophy. Meanwhile, the Pentagon’s been taking notes (and probably a little Xanax).

Meaning, the PrSM is America’s response: a high-precision, long-range, do-not-f**k-with-us message wrapped in titanium and guided by enough tech to make Elon impressed. It’s part of a broader $34 billion effort to overhaul the Army’s missile and artillery capabilities over the next decade. Because ‘Merica, baby! Plus, this just symbolizes everything Lockheed is—a.k.a. The top dog in all things American warfare. The F-35 jet? That (was) them. Hypersonics? Working on it. Space lasers? Give it a minute. Lockheed is in the thicc and juicy part of everything that pumped Dick Cheney’s bags.
Oh and with facilities across the country, yes Lockheed is building weapons, but they’re also building economic gravity with it. Thousands of jobs, billions in contracts, and a spot in every Congressional district that matters.

Bottom line to all this? The U.S. Army just dropped nearly $5 billion on a missile system that doesn’t fully exist yet, from a company that’s been delivering for decades. It’s a bet on precision over brute force. On offense over defense. On Lockheed over literally everyone else. Now will it work? Will the PrSM live up to the hype and hit targets with sniper-level accuracy from 300+ miles out? Only time will tell, but if the next war is fought with range, speed, and scary precision, it’s clear Lockheed is becoming the arms dealer of choice.
And that, my friend, is good for investors. Meaning, keep your eyes on Lockheed's price action tomorrow and place your bets accordingly, friends. As always, stay safe and stay frosty! Until next time…
