Google Roundhouse Kicks OpenAI, Anthropic, and Every Other AI Pioneer With NEW AI Model…

Rumor on the street is Gemini 3 answers questions before you ask them. And that it can talk to your cat too…

Somewhere out there, Tim Cook is staring at an iPhone Sock and wondering why Alphabet just did, in one afternoon, what Apple has spent two years pretending it’s “working on.”In short, Google quietly rolled out Gemini 3, and the market reacted with “Stonks only go up”. Shares jumped nearly 3% on impact. As for the early read? Gemini 3 isn’t just “better.” It’s the first time in two years analysts have described a Google model without adding a nervous disclaimer about “safety” or “alignment risk.” The Davidson crew called it “state-of-the-art”, and they aren’t wrong.

From all accounts, the model can parse intent without needing the user to draft a novella. It handles complex queries without turning into a networking error. It answers like something that was actually tested before launch… a refreshing departure from the era of Bard, which behaved like it was trained inside a microwave. And Google isn’t wasting time hiding it behind a paywall or a 19-step onboarding flow. Gemini 3 is getting shoved straight into Search, the Gemini app, Workspace, enterprise… basically any surface where users might accidentally get exposed to something good and forget that OpenAI exists.

But what’s also earily sus interesting about this is that this comes days after Berkshire Hathaway just disclosed a fresh stake in Alphabet worth five big ones ($5 billion). The stock has been on a tear since, and Gemini 3 just added lighter fluid. Which means… which means… if you’re still under the assumption that Wall Street does NOT in fact have backroom handshake deals, and insider telephone games… well then I have a bridge to sell you LOL.

But alas, this is a yuuuge W for Google as they’re closing the narrative gap… a.k.a, the that mattered more on Wall Street than the actual capabilities. OpenAI had the vibes. Anthropic had the mystique. Google had… a crisis PR strategy and some tragic product names. Now it has a model reviewers are calling “meaningfully better than expected,” which is as close as analysts get to standing ovations. Additionally, the other win here is that Gemini 3 gives Google something it hasn’t had since 2021:a straight line between “we improved our AI” and “our stock went up.”

It also lands at the exact moment when the AI market needed a reminder that not every breakthrough has to involve a GPU firehose and Jensen Huang entering a stadium through a cloud of dry ice. Sometimes it’s just Google doing its job. Meaning, now Alphabet has momentum, a clean upgrade path, happy analysts, Warren Buffett in the passenger seat, and a model that doesn’t need a 50-slide apology deck. Meanwhile, Apple is out here releasing handbags for phones and hoping nobody notices Siri still needs a search warrant to answer basic questions. So yeah… have a day Google shareholders. Have a day. Until next time, friends…
