GM to cut EV, battery production and 1,200 jobs at Detroit plant

General Motors announced production cuts and layoffs at its U.S. electric vehicle and battery plants due to decreased demand. This includes halting battery cell production and cutting 1,200 factory jobs in Detroit and 550 jobs in Ohio.
