A Palestinian restaurant chain, Ayat, faced backlash for anti-Israel statements on its menu and now for installing a large concrete slab on a Brooklyn sidewalk. Locals find it obstructive and unsafe, calling for its removal. The chain also violated city regulations for outdoor seating.
